It's awfully pedantically written..
Although I had expected something clear and understandable...
Being largely ignorant of the subject area, I confused 'modernity' and 'modernism'.
I am a lit teacher at an independent school, and was able to use this book to link the literature and the art of the modern movement.
I had to read this book for an honors course at my college.
This book is everything it claims to be.
This is a good quick introduction.
