I bought this book on January 15, 2008 and just finished reading it for, at least, the third time.
At the heart of this variation is the change in Point of View from that of Pride and Prejudice.
This one was a sleeper for me; I had seen the title but it never called to me.
I bought one for me and one for my mother-in-law.
This was an unimaginative book, which just rearranges many of Austen's memorable lines.
Overall, this novel isn't bad, per se; but it really has nothing to offer the reader.
I give this book 3 stars in comparison to other Austen fan fiction, not as it relates to the book population as a whole.
This P&P variation is the retelling of the story from Darcy's point of view.
Granted I had just read two VERY POORLY written P&P spin-offs shortly before reading this one...
The story followed the classic Jane Austen story line, then ended with about 40 pages of repeated wording.

Confessions of a spin-off junky:
Granted I had just read two VERY POORLY written P&P spin-offs shortly before reading this one...
I'd have wished for any ending at al!l
